Rugged, integrated FPGA single-board computer Extreme Engineering Solutions has released a selection of rugged, Intel processor-based VPX single-board computers featuring onboard FPGA modules from the Xilinx Kintex UltraScale and Microsemi SmartFusion 2 families. The SBCs provide a powerful combination of a high- end system-on-chip (SoC) and high-end FPGA integrated on a single, industry-standard card. Brushless motor for heavy-lift UAVs KDE Direct’s 8218XF-120 (HE) multi-rotor brushless motor uses both angular- contact and radial- contact bearings, and is designed to accommodate very high thrust and continuous heavy-lift multi- rotor UAV applications. 6 GHz RF power amplifier module The Triad RF Systems TA1167 is a compact GaAs RF power amplifier module that delivers over 5 W peak power from 6400 to 7200 MHz. The unit incorporates circuits that produce over 1 W of linear COFDM power when amplifying a +19 dBm signal. It has gain of 11 dB, return loss of -10 dB (2:1 VSWR), rise and fall times of less than 1 µs, and accepts a maximum RF input of +27 dBm.
