16 The largest unmanned vehicles and technology exhibition in the world, AUVSI Xponential, will be held at Chicago’s McCormick Place convention centre in 2019, from April 29 to May 2. The exhibition hall will host more than 700 exhibitors, with showcases of unmanned aircraft, autonomous road vehicles, unmanned maritime systems and other platforms. Every aspect of technology that goes into putting an unmanned vehicle in the field will be on display. The conference programme includes three days of keynote speeches. The first will focus on how unmanned systems will shape the infrastructure and behaviour of global industries and economies. The second day will examine changes to society and lifestyles as a result of autonomous systems, while the third will cover how disaster response missions, public safety work and similar operations can be augmented and facilitated by unmanned vehicles. In addition, a wide range of networking events, educational programmes and live floor presentations will be available for visitors to gain insights into new and upcoming technologies and concepts from every corner of the unmanned world. The show will once again be co- located with helicopter expo Rotorcraft Asia 2019, as well as the 7th World Civil Aviation Chief Executives Forum organised by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore. The exhibition will feature a range of commercial and defence applications, showcasing new technologies and solutions in aerial, ground, surface and underwater unmanned systems. The show will be geared towards innovations and opportunities in and imaging, power and control technologies. In addition to the static technology displays, attendees will be able to test- drive marine equipment and systems, with live, free-to-attend training and demonstration sessions. These will be available on board vessels, at the dockside, in seminar rooms and in a test tank. The show will also host the Offshore around the Asia-Pacific region, and addressing the growing demand from sectors such as law enforcement, oil and gas, agriculture and inspections. The show’s location in Singapore places it and its attendees at a strategic crossroads between fast-growing markets across the region, including China, India, and South East Asia, all of which are less than seven hours from Singapore by air. The Lion City has offices for more than 100 aerospace companies and makes up a quarter of the Asian maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) market, making it ideal for engineers and technicians advancing unmanned aerial technology. Helping to support and organise the Survey 2019 conference. Its programme is expected to cover a wide range of critical industry topics for autonomous marine and underwater survey vehicles. These will include subsea positioning and acoustics technologies, airborne Lidar bathymetry, sensors for geophysical and seismic data acquisition.
