16 The largest unmanned vehicles and technology exhibition in the world, AUVSI Xponential, will be held at Chicago’s McCormick Place convention centre in 2019, from April 29 to May 2. The exhibition hall will host more than 700 exhibitors, with showcases of unmanned aircraft, autonomous road vehicles, unmanned maritime systems and other platforms. Every aspect of technology that goes into putting an unmanned vehicle in the field will be on display. The conference programme includes three days of keynote speeches. The first will focus on how unmanned systems will shape the infrastructure and behaviour of global industries and economies. The second day will examine changes to society and lifestyles as a result of autonomous systems, while the third will cover how disaster response missions, public safety work and similar operations can be augmented and facilitated by unmanned vehicles. In addition, a wide range of networking events, educational programmes and live floor presentations will be available for visitors to gain insights into new and upcoming technologies and concepts from every corner of the unmanned world. It will be the largest iteration of the show yet, with more than 360 companies set to attend.
