Since its founding 20 years ago, the International Lidar and Mapping Forum has grown into a vital hub for new technologies and operational models for a wide range of applications. Transportation, infrastructure, cities, coasts and more all stand to benefit from the kinds of systems being showcased, with the exhibition hall hosting hundreds of participating organisations as well as the latest Lidar systems (and other sensors) for mapping, measurement and sensing capabilities. In addition to a series of new product launches, the conference programme includes special sessions dedicated to topical areas of discussion such as autonomous Lidar operations, new UAV technologies, and airborne mapping for bathymetry, firefighting and other critical missions. The 2020 iteration of the show will run from March 22 to 26, at the Walter E Washington Convention Center in Washington DC.
