19 Uncrewed Systems Technology | February/March 2025 The 2025 edition of AUVSI Xponential 2025 is set to return on May 19-22. Taking place at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas, this iteration of the world’s leading autonomous and uncrewed systems event is anticipated to draw over 8,000 technical experts, industry representatives, defence chiefs, government policymakers and prospective end-users together. With 2024’s attendance increasing by 10% over the previous year, the expo floor is expected to feature hundreds of companies and thousands of professional attendees walking the aisles, with countless new advancements in uncrewed systems, robotics, and the myriad subsystems that power them on display. Space-Comm Expo, which has established itself as a world-leading stage for the global space and satellite industry over the past five years, is set to take place at London ExCeL for the first time on March 11-12. Headlined by renowned particle physicist Professor Brian Cox and space business leader Will Whitehorn, the 2025 event is expected to bring together over 5,000 visitors, 200 exhibitors and 120 speakers, all focused on the newest developments across space technologies and businesses. The expo floor will be lined with all the latest advancements in reusable rockets, small satellites, space traffic management, The conference halls will be lined with interested parties looking to learn about new technological innovations, as well as the latest successful real-world applications of autonomous and robotic vehicles, taking notes and posing questions on how industries such as energy, logistics, public safety, agriculture and defence may be energised through the adoption of uncrewed systems. Important topical issues to the industry, such as cybersecurity, and manufacturing capacity and scalability, are also expected to be discussed in sharp detail. Between conference sessions, networking events and hands-on workshops designed to facilitate meetings between regulators, policymakers, company executives, robotics, additive manufacturing, quantum computing, space-debris removal, smart propulsion, in-orbit servicing, laser connectivity, space biotech, lunar habitats, offworld mining and more. Key discussions and meetings are expected to discuss collaborations, advancements and research on safeguarding space assets critical to the internet, communications, media, security, navigation, aviation, transport, agriculture, maritime and weather forecasting. Major topical issues such as sustainability and debris management, AI and data analytics, and satellite communications and connectivity will also be under the spotlight. The latest r&d will be presented on engineers and further key personnel will be hosted around the convention centre halls, and between event hours, to enable important connections between those advancing industry and society through autonomy. And, both inside and far beyond the halls, live demonstrations of new autonomous solutions are anticipated to showcase the most striking new capabilities of our sector’s technology, all against the backdrop of Houston’s many thousands of manufacturers and technology firms, and their ongoing contribution to advancement in the aerospace, robotics, critical infrastructure and offshore energy industries.
